blogger has removed my last two posts because of dmca notification (whatever that means). think i'm gonna lay off posting music for a while except for stuff sent to me that i can't resist sharing. in the mean time, i'll console myself with these pics of brandon flowers which i can't resist sharing.

named after a galaxy and just as stellar, this was m83 in milan at casa 139 on november 3. the place was packed with a line out the door and i got there late. once inside, i spent the next hour stuck in the back, craning my neck and wishing i was tall. but gotta say it was all well worth it just to hear 'kim and jessie' live. looking at the stage, the first thing you noticed was the gear. lots of gear. more gear than stage. in the midst of which mainman anthony gonzales held court flanked by his 3 bandmates. apart from some light cursing on his part because of recurring sound problems, the show was a sea of ambient aural lushness which had all the indie heads nodding in approval. other electric delights: 'graveyard girl', 'run to flowers', 'don't save us from the flames' and the sublime 'couleurs'.
